Blame it on Apple.

When Gwyneth gave birth to her lovely daughter, the parenting world was drawn to watching this uber-cool new mom pick her child's name, clothing, crib, stroller and almost everything else. It became important which shoes graced her tiny feet and the kind of blanket she was swaddled in. Suddenly there was a glut of pictures of the new baby with products carefully highlighted. At the same time new parents decided that winnie-the-pooh and generic nursery themes were not up to par with their modern design esthetic. The nursery became an extension of the rest of the home and everyone was looking for just the right style for their little one.

We watched it all too and decided to turn our little dream of owning a sweet baby boutique into reality.
